Purpose
The purpose of this lecture is to have students further understand the concept of linear equations; specifically slope-intercept form, graphing them, learning about slope, and creating parallel and perpendicular lines using their learning in slope. This page offers a lecture powerpoint with a hook to utilize in the beginning of class, a couple of examples for students to work on, and even a little bit of time for students to work on things together. There are explanations in simple slides, graphs to see how the equations look, how to solve each location step-by-step, tables for students to fill out, and even images to help students understand and remember this new information in an entertaining way. Below are also resources for teachers with notes for each slide on what to expand on based off of the powerpoint and guided notes for students to follow along during the lecture. I hope you all enjoy this and it offers support to both students and teachers to learning and teaching this unit with an advanced technique.
